For nearly 20 years, Scott Petry has been using the cloud to secure the underlying protocols that make the Internet useful. As the founder of Postini in 1999, Scott pioneered cloud-delivered services for email security and content compliance, making SMTP a reliable and manageable protocol while remaining compatible with all Internet-connected mail services. After the acquisition of Postini by Google in 2007, Scott continued to help businesses embrace the cloud by serving as Director of Product Management for Google Enterprise.
In 2010, he co-founded Authentic8, a secure virtual browser solution designed to address the inherent lack of security in the protocols the world uses to access the web, again, while remaining compatible with all connected web services.
Scott also serves on the boards of other cloud app providers, including Return Path, Virtru, and UpGuard. He started his career at Apple Computer, graduated from San Diego State University, and, as a member of the US National Rowing team, earned a bronze medal in the World Championships.
