Dan Tynan has been writing about technology since Mark Zuckerberg was still in nappies. He has published thousands of stories, most of which neither he nor anyone else can remember.
Most recently, Tynan was Editor in Chief of Yahoo Tech, David Pogue’s technology news site. Tynan is currently a contributing editor for Family Circle magazine, where he writes about the intersection of parenting and technology, and a regular contributor to The Guardian, Consumer Reports, and a wide range of other publications and Web sites. He writes frequently about the topics of cyber security and online privacy. The rest of the time he is asleep.
Tynan’s work has appeared in more than 70 publications (including but not limited to: Wired, Popular Science, Women’s Health, Parade, Consumer’s Digest, Newsweek, Playboy.com). He has appeared on CNN, CBS, and NPR, and been quoted in the New York Times and Wall Street Journal, among other publications.
He is a two-time finalist for a National Magazine Award and has a closet full of other trophies and medals from the American Business Press, American Society of Business Press Editors, Western Publications Association, and others he has forgotten about entirely.
