An original employee of Network Integrity Systems since its founding in 2003, Cary Murphy is the Chief Engineer and Chief Technology Officer at NIS in Hickory NC.
Working closely with the approval authorities within the federal government, he has spend the past 14 years developing sensor technologies and systems for monitoring the physical layer in high security data networks. He co-authored and presented “Enhancing The Deployment And Security Of SIPRNET And JWICS Networks” at the MILCOM conference. Prior to NIS, he designed optical test equipment for Siemens, SIECOR, and Laser Precision Corp.
Mr Murphy served on the authoring committee for international standard IEC 61746 “Calibration of Optical Time-Domain Reflectometers (OTDRs)”, served on the review board for TIA/EIA Fiber Optic Test Procedure (FOTP) standards, taught linear electronics at the State University of New York, and is a senior member of IEEE. Cary holds 21 US and international patents.
In his spare time he likes finger style guitar, old jazz vinyl on tube stereos, and is a travel junkie with his wife. He has the greatest grandson in the world.
